Diesel engine?

I have owned a 1986 classic Jeep in Kerala for the past six years. All of a sudden the Motor Vehicles Dept will not tax it. They are saying I changed the engine from petrol to Diesel.

It has always been Diesel since I bought it.
They say it was petrol when manufactured. Is this true?
I am a woman and I think they are cheating and lying to me.

You can find all details in the RC book of this jeep. Also, is it a diesel or petrol?

Hi,
Firstly your vehicle was very good looking.
As coming to the matter, owner should notify the local motor authority regarding the engine change.

Also it is duty of Seller to tell about original fact of the vehicle to the buyer if made some changes which defined in State or Central motor vehicle law.

Better you get the B- extract from the RTO for this.
