My Jeep is a '92 Comanche with a 4" lift, and it is my favorite Jeep out of the three I've owned.


My '88 Cherokee comes in second. I owned that one for 14 years before I sold it (regret it every day....my youngest son acted like I'd sold his brother!).

The '93 Wrangler I only had for two years, and it didn't hold a candle to the Cherokee and Comanche.

We took this truck woodcutting with a friend recently. It rained hard in the forest, turning everything to slick mud. Our buddy got his Suburban (towing a utility trailer full of wood) stuck at the bottom of a hill. My little Comanche in 4-wheel low pulled his suburban and trailer up a muddy hill with no hesitation.

I love this truck! My only complaint is that with the long bed, I can't buy a truck-tent to fit it.

I have 2 Jeep Comanche Pioneer 4x4's. A 1990 and a 1987 both short bed with a tent for camping.

I'm jealous Andrew! My Jeep Comanche has the long bed (7'5"). I've called three companies, they all say the same thing..... they don't make one to fit the Comanche long bed, or the Toyota compact pickup with a long bed (which we have also owned). It's all good though, the tailgate of my Jeep makes a pretty nice camp kitchen (with the lift it's a nice height for hubby & I since we're both tall).

Does yours have bucket seats or bench? Mine has the bench... but I want to put in buckets.
