I am Ian and bought a 1992 Jeep Comanche for $10,000. It is still running great and only had to go to the shop once in 8 years. It is a 4-wheel drive. It is extremely comfortable and comes with AC. There is a lot of cargo room in the bed and the Comanche comes with a V8 and lots of towing power. A friend of mine bet me $100 that I couldn't pull his boat up the MT Washington road and I did. He was so surprised! If Jeep offered a new pickup,i would definitely consider buying it .It is a nice looking, cheap truck that has great torque, pulling power, a V8, a roomy interior, and a large bed.I have a bench seat that is straight forward with no frills but amazingly comfortable. I have driven 18 hours straight on several occasions, only stopping for gas and never got a bad back. The engine still starts up first time every time and sounds almost new, even after 250 000 kms. Problems: front axle U-joints wear out sooner than I think they should; although not obviously visible, and rust is becoming an issue.
Larry's Comment: Your Comanche must have had the V8 swapped out Ian, because the Comanche did not come with a V8 from the factory.
