My 1952 M-38 has been in family since 1979. I swapped Dad a 1976 F-250 for it in 1987.

It has been barn stored until Oct. 2010. I brought it to my friend's shop and we had it running in ten minutes. Then the fun started.

I replaced the water pump, master cylinder, and under-seat gas tank. Used it for hunting season, but didn't have the power as I remembered, and had to run with the choke on.

I put it in the barn again and now have just got around to working on it (Sept. 2011). OIY! I found that the intake manifold was completely broken at front bolt at the one and two cylinders. GEE, GUESS THAT EXPLAINS THE CHOKE!

Ordered new intake and exhaust manifolds along with two 12v wiper units. They should be here today, and hopefully I will be in the woods with it tomorrow.

Larry's Comment: We would love to see some actual photos of your M38...thanks.
