Excuse My Jeep, China!

Last week I bought a box of nuts and bolts (various sizes) which was labeled "Made in China".
When I attempted to put a nut and bolt from the Chinese hardware on my Jeep the poor tolerances were so bad that the nut stripped on the bolt...on every one I tried.
I also bought a set of nice looking screw drivers, also made in China. When I tried to screw in a phillips head or flat head screw the tip of each screw driver showed significant wear after one or two uses (soft metal).
Now I read about China's "
General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine" complaining to Chrysler about transmission problems with some 2008 through 2010 Wranglers.
If they are so concerned about the quality of our products, then they need to stop selling us their "junk".
Don't get me wrong...I think American made products should be of the highest quality, especially Jeeps. Also, if a part is defective or dangerous it should be dealt with promptly.
My beef is that what is good for the goose should also be good for the gander (whatever that means!). Seriously, quality control should be reciprocal for importers as well as exporters.
Have you looked at most products on the shelves today? Hardly anything is made in the USA...even things that have always been known as "American Made".
I just think that maybe we should complain more about the poor quality of Chinese imported products, instead of having to read the Wah!..Wah!..Wah! about our American made products.
Oh, and by the way, have you seen all those great Chinese made cars in the USA showrooms? That's what I thought!
What do you think?
