No big deal on the two being seemingly close. Jeep has done this for years.
Back in the early 80s I had a Cherokee Chief. That thing was as big as today's (2019) four door version only having two doors.
They also had the Wagoneer which was the cowboy's Cadillac.
Both in rotted condition pull more money than a running vehicle of today’s making. The Wagoneer is the go-to for the film industry for being the rich snobby persons vehicle; not a Mercedes G wagon, Land-rover, Range-rover, or even a Hummer.
