I love my 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4 because I bought it for cheap (only $500.00) and it runs really well.
I have the option of light off-roading if I wish (I don't, I'm too scared), but my boyfriend enjoys off-roading in it. I use my Jeep for commuting purposes when needed, light errands and camping.
My Jeep is wonderful and was a great buy. There were a couple of problems with it, but nothing from the manufacturer. The previous owner decided to nail in an amp in the trunk of the Jeep and in doing so he punctured the gas tank. It was an easy fix (about $5.00) until time allows us to replace the actual tank.
The Jeep has no problems, and is wonderful for going camping, especially when you want to use unknown roads to get to your destination of choice. It is not the best vehicle to save gas in but it isn't too bad either, about twenty miles to the gallon if you change your oil when needed.
This Jeep is great because you can upgrade a lot if you want to, and even if you don't want to you have a Jeep in good condition and the KBB price of this jeep is around $1,300.00 - which to me is great since I bought my baby for $500.00.
