(Winder, Georgia)
Jeep-lover since reaching driving age.
I found this 1961 Willys CJ6 sitting behind a custom cabinet shop in Alpharetta, Ga. This is one of only 1991 CJ6's produced in 1961. It is all original with a Koenig hardtop and PTO. It also has a Bendix brake booster.
The Hurricane 134 I4 F-head motor still sits under the hood, and if the odometer is correct has 64xxx miles.
I drug (dragged) it home less than 2 weeks ago. Basically all I have done is experimented with different paint removal methods, and cleaned up the dirt and broken glass. My angle-grinder and I have been busy removing rust.
My finances will not allow me to make it pristine so I am willing to settle for presentable.
If you want I will keep you posted on my progress and provide picture updates. I also would welcome any advise, tips etc.....
Thanks,
Andy
