I like the Jeep Patriot 4x4. I think in general it is a well designed car for those who want an SUV for the road. It gets very good gas mileage compared to most competitor cars such as the Ford Explorer, and it maintains that classic jeep look. If you plan to go off road, like any jeep, it can handle it, but I don't find it as appealing to the off road crowd. To me this is a typical car that middle suburbia would drive to and from work, or to do errands in. It is not designed for the rugged. I think the ride is relatively smooth. The road noise on the highway is louder than expected but par with most of its competitors. I do not like this car compared to the new Jeep Wrangler models. I think those are still the back bone of what Jeep stands for. The Patriot is just a car to tap into other markets with. Overall, it is a good SUV for its class. I think that it has a reasonable price tag, the design keeps with the classic Jeep style and therefore provides better safety. I wouldn’t see myself driving one, I would be found in a Wrangler instead.
