Responsibility As Americans

Regardless of personal feelings about if the US should or should not have gone to war, it is our responsibility as Americans to support the troops we have deployed overseas in war zones.
My best friend John is preparing to deploy for his second tour. He has been called to serve our country and is putting his life on hold for over a year so that the men, women, and children of this nation can sleep safe in their beds at night. While he prepares to deploy, I am preparing to support him and his unit while they are deployed. I am gathering support amongst my friends and families to put together care packages for our deployed loved ones. They have to put their lives on hold, being stationed away from friends and family in a war zone, witnessing unimaginable hell.
It is our responsibility as citizens to do our best to bring joy to our deployed loved ones and make sure they know that they are always in our thoughts.
