The Mahindra THAR CRDe 4X4 is an upgraded cousin of the old CJ.


I along with my son had gone to this temple called Bharwani along a dangerous dirt track which can barely accommodate a jeep. The THAR named for the 'Thar Desert' is a light weight vehicle with a NEF CRDe 2.49L developing 79 KW HP and a torque of 247Nm.

I and my son loved the drive.


Larry's Comment: Sanjeev...those mountain roads look awesome, and quite narrow as you explained.

Your East Indian Mahindra Thar jeep looks like it handled the drive admirably.

Very nice road for a Jeep

Dear Sanjeev,

You don't know how you are lucky to be able to drive your Jeep in this fantastic country/mountain area.

In France, it is now forbidden to drive any vehicle in tracks to protect the nature. Of course there was some bad behaviours of drivers going across wild areas, but it is not the fact of 99.99% of Jeep owners. Or even less.

Where is this nice place, so maybe one day I can come and visit, and maybe rent a Jeep!?
