In 2001 I traded my 1987 Cherokee Laredo (which miraculously got me through college in New Orleans, where it survived 5 break-ins and an ungodly number of potholes, and finished with around 160,000 miles) for my current daily driver, a 1998 Grand Cherokee Limited.
I took her to New Mexico for my first assignment in the USAF and drove her all over hell and creation. From there I took her on every road trip possible...San Diego, New Orleans, Denver, Dayton and Montgomery (for training), the list goes on.
Brought her back to Florida where she belongs, and she's survived countless hurricanes, more road trips, and plenty of sailboat tugging. I've kept her on road most of her life as she's just a 2WD model (and I have a CJ5 for play), but I've put the 4.0L I6 to the test. Around 163,000 miles and going strong. Gotta say it's the best engine ever.
Anyway, I'll keep driving her until it's impossible, and I'll love her for the rest of my life.
Larry's Comment: Thanks Conor! That 4.0L is some kind of motor. Hope Chrysler...er Fiat...uh!..whoever..goes back to using that great engine again.
